A day to listen inward
and step gently into what’s ready.

A day to listen inward
and step gently into what’s ready.

The invitation

As winter loosens its grip and the earth begins to soften, the bear emerges — not rushed, not frantic, but steady and instinctual.

What if we did the same?

The Season of Emergence is a guided day to step out of the noise and into intentional becoming. A day to listen inward. To reconnect with what matters. To gently ask:

What is ready to rise now?

This is not about hustle.

It is about alignment.

Not reinvention — but remembering.

What to Expect

  • Guided reflection and facilitated dialogue

  • Embodied practices rooted in nature and seasonal rhythm

  • Small-group connection

  • Personal intention-setting ritual

  • Time outdoors at French Regional Park

  • Morning refreshments and a nourishing lunch

  • A guided drum journey

Why the Bear

In winter, the bear retreats.
It conserves. It metabolizes. It dreams.

When spring arrives, the bear does not emerge the same.
It rises changed — leaner, wiser, instinctually clear.

We are connecting to the energy of the bear to guide us
in a seasonally guided process of our own emergence.

This retreat invites us to honor our own cycles,
to pause long enough that when we step forward,
we do so rooted and ready.

Michael Nelson, MA

Michael is an ICF-trained executive coach with a focus on helping clients who are navigating change in their work and / or personal life. Her work is rooted in exploration through questions, reflections, stories, and art.

She also coaches with Museum Sage®, which offers a meaningful way to gain new perspectives through guided conversations with a work of art. Alongside her husband, she also co-created Begin Again, which includes programs, retreats, and storytelling events that explore the practice of being human.

Whether working one-on-one or with a larger group, her goal is to create safe spaces that allow for reflection, connection, and finding the way forward when life doesn’t go as planned.
